The bones of a good quilt start with a working knowledge of the products used in the quilt and also the ones used to stitch the quilt. You will learn how to “read” needles and thread, what to look for in batting, things to think about when you plan your whole quilt and many other tips about tools and products that make quilting fun and fascinating. Storytelling is the inspiration for her meaningful quilts, whether recalling a geography in “Fields of Community” ; a homage to her grandmother in “Media Kaleidoscope” or; a reflection of immigration in “Congregations in the Tall Grass Prairie” (Quilts in my 160 Acres: Geography of Home Exhibits).
