President’s Summer Colour Challenge

This President’s Summer Colour Challenge is to provide members with a fun activity over the summer months. The reveal will be at the October 2025 in person/Zoom meeting. Most President’s Challenges have their “reveals” in May so I thought it would be a good way to keep MPQ in our hearts and minds during the warm summer months!

You are to pick 3 crayons from the bag during the meeting. If you are not at the meeting and would like to participate, please email wandadiboll@gmail.com and I will pull your crayons and send you a photo. They will be mailed to you as you need to bring your crayons to the reveal of your project in October.

You will be able to add ONE more colour and ALSO a background. I wanted to make it easy for you to use your selected crayons. You must use the THREE you selected and you may only redraw one more if you pick two crayons that are the same.

When you receive your crayons, you will put them in the little baggie provided for you so you don’t lose them! LOL My suggestion is to scribble each crayon on a white paper to see the true colours of your crayons. You are to use those colours, not variations of those colours. If you are using a print fabric it must “read” the crayon colour.

At the October meeting, everyone with a “reveal” will have a chance to win gift certificates:
$100, $75 and $50.

For members out of town who would like to be involved in the President’s Summer Colour Challenge, you can ask Wanda to pull your crayons for you! She will then mail them to your address. You can show your creation on Zoom and be in the draws for the gift certificates of $50, $75 and $100!

You can make anything you like, any size you like! Have fun!

Monthly Meeting Prize Draws

Fall Season - September 2025 to November 2025

Win one of 3 Prize Packs at Each Monthly Meeting!

Tickets are just $15. Buy one or as many as you like for the fall season (September, October, November) and you will be entered into 9 prize draws! Just change the number of tickets you wish to purchae (in the quantity field) when you go to 'View Cart'.

Each prize pack is valued between $60 - $80 and features items from Manitoba quilt shops and local businesses. Every dollar raised goes directly to creating prize packs, with all funds used by June 2026.

You must be an MPQ member to make your purchase. Just log in and the item will appear just below this post. Draws are made by random selection using a computer generated wheel. To be eligible for draws the purchase must be made prior to midnight on the Monday before the monthly meeting.
